Her products are never tested on animals and her lines are cruelty free. JoAnne uses organic jojoba oil in her parfums and organic grape alcohol from wine grapes for the eau de toilettes, and eau de parfums.
JoAnne Bassett crafts her natural parfums in North San Diegos quiet coastal countryside where flower growing is a serious agricultural business. I love creating 100% Natural Perfumes from essential oils and absolutes.? These botanical perfumes use oils that have a live energy..the soul of the plant.? You can feel their energy.? It is not like putting synthetic chemicals or isolates on your skin.? You will smell and feel the difference!
In 2011 I commissioned some hand blown glass bottles for my Limited Edition Collection.? These are exquisite parfums with a high concentration of oils.? The extraits are very precious with some rare and precious ingredients.? When these are gone …the collection will end.

We will together smell the 33 essences on a blotter paper and discuss the scent classification and attributes of each essence.
We will discuss top, middle, base notes and define what each essence is. We will learn how long each note will last in a perfume. We will discuss strengths of eau de toilettes, eau de parfums, and parfums.
We will build accords, discuss blending a scent for a purpose or a themed essence, etc. We will discuss creating the scent drop by drop and the bases that can be used.
There will be question and answers throughout the process.
You will create your own perfume in class to take home with you for the people in person.
