Amazing eau de parfum was my contribution for the Outlaw Perfume Project sponsored by the Natural Perfumers Guild.
Amazing eau de parfum a floral chypre started out with oakmoss absolute and then proceeded to go off in all directions…what an outlaw! It contains jasmine grandiflorum, cassie absolute, centifolia rose absolute, rose damask otto, lemon verbena, galbanum, muhuhu, bergamot, rhododendron, cinnamon leaf, ginger, more citrus, and spice and all things outrageous…out of control.
Amazing contains 32 “outlaw” essential oils and absolutes. When I finished the formula I said…Truly Amazing. Hence the name. It was one afternoon of blending…and no tweaks since. It was too much fun. It is a citrus, floral chypre and is resting in organic grape alcohol.
Tetu Eau de Parfum
We were to create an eau de parfum with 25% patchouli and 15% concentration in alcohol.
I named my perfume Exotic Nights. I shared it with Ida Meister and she thought it should be Têtu. Because I have French heritage and it means stubborn. Thank you Ida Meister for the name and thank you Monica Miller for helping me change the name before it was published…
Têtu means stubborn in French. Têtu is a headstrong and passionate fragrance. This aphrodisiac is created with patchouli, sultry vintage jasmine, sensual rose centifolia, amber, and smoky notes. It is a musky, spicy, and sexy number that is absolutely brilliant and outrageous.
Notes: Vintage Patchouli, vintage jasmine, sensual rose centifolia, amber, and smoky notes with a citrus lift. Vanilla absolute and cocoa absolute add to the gourmand quality. With nine base notes this fragrance lasts all day and into your exotic night. 24 natural botanicals in all.

Dark Mistress Eau de Parfum, the Night Queen
A Midsummer’s Nights Dream Project – June 21, 2011
I went to the bookstore to scan the Shakespeare play to determine what theme I would use. I saw fairies, magic, a love story, and several themes that would work. When I sat down to formulate it was another story.
The feeling I had was to create a night perfume…with flowers and attributes of the night. Not a Solstice perfume but a unique fragrance of what night time scents are out there to fascinate your nose.
So it begins. I had ordered an interesting oil named Night Queen and had not used it. This was my chance. What a strange and inviting smell. So in the course of an afternoon I added rhododendron, night queen, peru balsam, rosewood, damask rose oil, neroli, tuberose . .one of my favorite night smells in India or France, vintage jasmine sambac.. another queen of the night, frankincense, yuzu, clove bud, tulsi, frankincense noir – dark and for the night, champa that you smell on warm Indian nights, vetiver, violet leaf that wonderful green forest smell, and ylang ylang for some extra romance. With 17 oils this 100% natural perfume said yes. It will transform you if you allow it.

Review from Diana from femininethings.org: The loveliness is even more wonderful because it is so unexpected I can hardly detect the scent that it will become at the beginning of Night Queen. Having never encountered the flower before, I’d describe it here as a sweet gently edible floral, and reminds me of a rich tea blend with a chamomile center. There’s more sillage here, which is great – I really liked this one came in strong, because it is so, so pretty.
