Reflections Limited Edition Parfum

Reflections Limited Edition Parfum?

From Facebook:? Henrique Brito wrote: ?Reflections was the start of the exquisite line from JoAnne Bassett where she combines precious and expensive materials in luxurious compositions, that drydown on skin in complex but natural ways. Inspired by a sunset over the Pacific Ocean, both bottle and fragrance are a harmonic union of different colors (the stunning bottle) and aromas (the fragrance itself) que in its beauty inspire a contemplative moment. It?s a serene blend of citrus fruits, citrus flower, sensual flowers and vanilla with slightly nuances of woods and spices. Although it contains exotic materials like Agarwood or Tuberose, the sensation that the perfumer transmits is of a zen balance between all the essences. There isn?t any saturation, but an harmony that always keep something citrusy, sweet, floral, and sweetly woody, with different emphasis on those aspects on each fragrance phases. Reflections evolves according the perfumer?s signature, starting with sparkling and slightly sweet citrus fruits changing quickly to a second moment floral of green nuances and a sating, slightly fruity feeling. The Agarwood is really soft on this fragrance, giving just a woody and ambery tone, suitable to a fragrance that intends to capture a sunset, and it?s balanced with a more adult sweet vanilla, which is creamy without being sugary, and with a complex woody, incensy and creamy sandalwood. Reflections smells peaceful in its exoticism and transmits what you would expect from a sunset, a sensation of peace and well-being through a captural of a pleasant and natural beauty.?

Esoterica Limited Edition Parfum

October 23rd, 2012 by

From Facebook: Henrique Brito review: At first you may think that Esoterica doesn’t have a connexion between its name and essence but a careful understanding makes it evident the reason of its creator giving this name. Even though esoteric is a word which is associated with something mystical, even religious maybe, here it’s used not in this meaning, but to name a perfume deep and mysterious, sensual but sober and a little bit thick as it develops. The blue beautiful colored bottle doesn’t give clues of its complexity and doesn’t reveal the deepness of a fragrance that starts citrusy and become more oriental and leathery during its evolution. Esoterica’s opening has a blend of citrus essences and roses that works like a conducting wire between the different JoAnne Bassett creations. It’s part of her signature and it’s a combination that she knows how to work in a way that sounds familiar on many of her fragrances at the same time that it reveals itself unique on each one of them. This fragrance finds a balance between the more light and refreshing aspect and the sweetness of its citric fruits, blending them with a silky and delicate rose aroma.? The scent becomes, as its name says, more complex and deep during its stage on the skin. The second moment on skin shows a delicious combination of orange flower and jasmine that is sensual but sounds so natural and comfortable, atracting more due to its beauty instead of its intensity. The last phase is the one that seems more complex and deep on skin, where the aroma transforms into a cozy combination of leather, vanilla, sandalwood and patchouli. The leather aroma here makes me think of classic leather, slightly smoky and rectified, and the vanilla has a controlled creamy sweetness and has some woody facets that blends well with the creamy woody sandalwood. The patchouli on Esotica is not intense and adds a slightly earthy touch to the vanillic leathery woody scent. Esoterica is, although complex, a well-balanced fragrance, perceptible on skin but not loud, being more of a rich, silky, luxurious and comfortable scent, a sensual elixir that develops its mysteries on my skin in a comfortable pace.

Luscious Roses Limited Edition Parfum

October 21st, 2012 by

Luscious Roses Limited Edition Parfum?

From Facebook:? Henrique Brito wrote: Luscious Roses is dedicated to one of the essences that JoAnne Bassett loves, the smell of roses. In almost all of her fragrances you find rose and it?s used by the perfumer for both the delicate aroma as its healing properties. In Luscious Roses she creates a fragrance dedicated to one the most venerated flowers but opting to represent it in a more abstract way, choosing a mix of 6 different roses that are supported by a background base of vanilla, patchouli, balsam and frankincense. The roses, as star, dominate most of the composition and sound as freshly harvested and natural; they are not like the thick extracted rose smell but more like the flower in its delicacy. There is a quick sweet citric opening and then the roses smell soon is evident, at first more green, later more fruity and then in a third phase more musky and satiny. At this phase you can notice a sheer incense, at the background, giving evidences that the fragrance heads to the final phase. Its base it?s dark but delicate as the roses that comes before it and make an interesting contrast of an aroma which works as a second skin but that it?s a dark mixture of boozy vanilla, sweet and earthy patchouli and a resinous balsam. Being a 100% natural fragrance makes Luscious Roses whisper instead of shouting on skin, but even that its aroma is delicate it last quite well for a natural composition, more than 6 hours of a cozy and silky aroma of precious and beautiful roses.

The Limited Edition Collection – Natural Perfume

October 18th, 2012 by

The Limited Edition Discovery Collection of perfumes 100% natural botanical fragrances in organic jojoba oil base.? 18% fragrance concentration -? French salon strength.? This fragrance strength is a very strong eau de parfum strength but it has a base of organic jojoba oil.

ENCHANT – Fabulous Rose de Mai absolute – the May Rose, expensive and rare oud or agarwood, sandalwood, exotic and costly osmanthus, sacred champaca and holy basil, yuzu, orange essences, butter co2, musky ambrette seed, davana, pink pepper tree, and high altitude lavender, the green note of galbanum, sensual jasmine auriculatum, copaiba balsam, vanilla tincture, and the dark and rich ruh khus vetiver, and dark patchouli in an organic jojoba oil base.

ESOTERICA – Fabulous Bulgarian damask rose otto, expensive and rare Bulgarian alba (white) rose otto, sensual jasmine sambac, exotic and costly neroli (orange blossoms), vanilla absolute, bergamot, patchouli, sandalwood, and many other citrus and floral notes in an organic jojoba oil base.

LUSCIOUS ROSES – There are six different rose oils from 4 different countries. There are pink – cabbage roses, red – Bulgarian damask, and white – rare Bulgarian Alba roses. Rose otto is a very treasured oil and is one of the most expensive. It is a very sensual parfum with rich vanilla absolute, dark and smooth vintage patchouli, lush tuberose, deep frankincense, powdery balsam, bergamot for lift, and others. This is a classic, full rose parfum.

REFLECTIONS – Fabulous centifolia rose otto, expensive and rare oud, exotic and costly boronia, tuberose, neroli (orange blossoms), vanilla absolute, vintage Mysore sandalwood and many other citrus and floral notes. A hint of spice tops this exclusive essence.

TEMPTRESS – Boasting damask rose from Egypt and vintage jasmine sambac and vintage jasmine grandifolium from India..she goes right to your senses.. A calliope of scent fills your space and you are drawn in. Citrus notes of red mandarin and pink grapefruit sparkle and evolve into lavender, bay rum, and spices of sage, celery seed, black pepper, cinnamon leaf, and basil. To balance you, geranium roseum steps in and then you are tempted with sweet vanilla. With Lavender Seville adding a green note and lemon verbena boosting the female rapture we are mesmerized. Black spruce, frankincense and smooth, vintage patchouli does a sultry dance and you are left breathless.

TIMELESS is an anointing oil. It has healing energy. Its purpose is to help you surrender. I created this anointing oil on Autumn Equinox. This incense, balsamic, and woody parfum contains vetiver, elemi, cassie, balsam fir, holy basil, spikenard, frankincense, Egyptian damask rose, angelica, and others. Sixteen oils made their way into my bottle.

Temptress Limited Edition Parfum Review

October 17th, 2012 by

From Facebook: Henrique Brito?s review:

It?s true that Temptress opens in a strong way, but this seduced know very well how to play her seduction ways in a complex and yet extremely pleasant way. One of the reasons that she makes you want more is quite evident from the first moment you apply it on skin: she is delicious. JoAnne Bassett matches perfectly several essences and something you end noticing on all of her fragrances is that in all of the themes she proposes she will apply high quality essences, rare to find in fragrances, and in a careful combination, in a way that each essence fits perfectly the theme created. In Temptress, she does it starting with a mouthwatering combination of citrusy fruits, that has a fresh and slightly sweet smell and that makes me think of tangerines. As the scent starts to develop on skin this seduction game is played, at this second moment, using sensual flower extracts, that smell sensual, but not overwhelming. It?s interesting that JoAnne uses on Temptress a jasmine that doesn?t have any indolic aspect and that it?s able to continue the fruity citric opening under a more floral perspective of a discreet green aspect. The rose gives it a delicate floral aroma of musky and fruity nuances and it?s perfectly mixed with the jasmine. Surrounding the flowers you have a secundary incense theme that confers them a slighty smoky and resinous aura. The seduction game played by this temptress ends in a discreet vanillic and lavender base, without too much sugar or cream from the vanilla or too much caramel and herbs from the lavender and it?s balanced by a slightly use of an earthy patchouli. This Temptress is full of tricks and those are the ones that i?m able to undestand from its complex idendity, being this one of her main seduction tricks: she leaves you wanting more because you cannot completely decipher her at once.
