Spring Time in Texas Means Bluebells
April 4th, 2017 by JoAnne BassettThese beautiful bluebell flowers in Texas have a very distinct odor. A soft floral metallic scent. I will not try to duplicate them but just enjoy them.
Driving down the road you can see them in ditches by the freeway or a neighbor’s yard. They seem to grow like weeds and Mrs. Bush planted a lot of them.
In Minnesota I loved the smell of purple iris – iris palida in the Spring. They are the bearded iris.
Large ones and tiny ones.. they were my favorite. They are here in Texas also. Life is good.
