Thankful Thursday

October 28th, 2010 by
Life is a gift…How many of you just take it for granted?? I realize every day when I sit down to formulate fragrances that I am blessed.??
I am able to work with gorgeous Bulgarian white rose otto…the rare flower of light.? I create with vintage Mysore sandalwood, vintage jasmine sambac, and vintage jasmine grandiflorum, and other sensual and lovely essential oils and absolutes.
On this Thankful Thursday I am especially grateful for lovely Southern California and the coast.? Living here I am able to grow my flowers all year round.? I have an abundance of flowers and plants to tincture and macerate for my perfumes.? What do you love and appreciate today?? What are you thankful for?

Fall Color in My Garden In California

October 18th, 2010 by

This colorful gaillardia plant is also called a blanket flower.? They always remind me of fall. ? I love the red and gold smiling faces.? They are drought resistant and are from the sunflower family.

What a cheerful smile on a rainy, gloomy day.

They do not produce an essence and their fragrance is not very attractive..Sometimes the flowers and the color show are enough.
