Happy St. Patty’s weekend!

Many shops have sales to clear out inventory so I am offering my few boxes of the Sovereign Collection. These are the remaining purple or gray gift boxes that I have left.

Also I have listed vintage essential oils, and my Perfume Kit which I have a lot of in stock.

The Perfume Kit is a best seller at all of the holidays. It makes a great gift for both men and women. Lately I have been seeing it used for bridal showers, birthdays, and fun parties of friends.

It is on my Etsy store these items are 25% off.  The Sale ends Monday, March 18.  I have the Perfume Kit on my website on 25% off sale on my website also.

I have been traveling for three weeks.  I have been all the way down the East Coast from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to Sarasota, Florida with the crystal Siesta beach. I  have gone North crossed the mountains to the Midwest. Sharing Thanksgiving with some relatives is a change for me this year. Seeing people I have not seen in a very long time.

There is healing and closure going on for myself and others. The end of the year…and the  beginning of new things in my life.

So I decided to open my Etsy Store and my website JoAnne Bassett so people can order for the holidays. I will be back in 5 to 7 days to begin shipping for December.

Please get your orders in early so I know what needs to be mailed. I am also in the process of moving so I will close my stores again before Christmas.

I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.  I am grateful for you all and my lovely perfumes that make people smile, feel good and empowered.

As the leaves start to turn yellow, orange, red and fall from the trees.. I realize Summer is over….The red leaves on the ground remind me that all things must pass.  A new season begins with a chilly 55 degrees this morning…

I have not sold my company and have decided to have a inventory clearance sale on my Etsy store only… 20% off with a $50.00 purchase that ends September 5.  I do not believe in sales. It is poverty thinking that we are not abundant enough to purchase at full price. That being said the game seems to be played in the retail arena offering holiday sales to move inventory. So be it. If this makes someone happy to be able to buy something for themselves now at this lower price than good for you!

Some traveling happened this summer for me.  Most of my free time has been spent nuturing my rose bushes.  Love my rose bouquets I have been enjoying at my computer.  Smells so good…just like my REAL..rose otto I use in my all natural perfume….

FYI – If you read a description or review that says “the perfume lasts all day” just know that it is not natural and most likely created with toxic synthetic laboratory created fragrance oil.  Natural perfumes with strong base notes can last 8 hours or so …but never all day.  Clean perfume is just marketing.. and any fragrance that has no color is decolorized.. synthetic lab materials.. not created from live plants and flowers… people still buy into this marketing.

Mothers come in many different categories… Mothers, Stepmothers, Grandmothers, Plant Mothers, Pet Mothers, etc.  I am a Mother to my perfumes and perfume formulas.. I am also a Mother to houseplants, vegetable plants, and rose bushes.  That is a lot of mothering..no human children… but many other children I tend to…

I choose to participate in celebrating myself as I am always busy tending to something also.

A Mother’s Day tradition is to honor a Mother with a gift. I have been creating Natural Perfumes for 30 years now.. I started my business Aromaworld, Bassett Aromatherapy, and JoAnne Bassett in 1993. My company name changed over the years and I added products and deleted products also. It morphed from an Aromatherapy company to a Natural Perfume company.

I remade myself many times. Over the years, I have taught perfume classes online and in person with my Perfume Kit, I imported and exported essential oils, electric wooden diffusers, floral waters, many aromatherapy lines I created myself,  my private label lines I created for others, luxury natural perfumes, parfums in hand blown glass bottles in lovely boxes and so much more.  I have sold world wide to celebrities, royals and all as retail perfumes, wholesale perfumes and as a distributor.

I created Custom Perfumes for many people by tapping into their “energy field”.  I no longer create these nor do I give intuitive readings.  All natural perfumes I create I have done Divine Alchemy on them..adding Divine Light to the perfumes to raise the vibrations, adding joy, love and so much more.

My natural perfume store Le Bijou in La Jolla, California was an adventure for a few years.  Clients came to my boutique from all over the world.  It closed in the 2008 with the recession and I moved to the CA desert for a few years.

During the 30 years I have lived in 6 different states and have travelled to over 50 countries for business and pleasure. I have been divorced with no children for many years and it allowed me the freedom to live where I want and to travel. I have been able to run my online company from many locations.

In 2013 I wrote my Sacred Scents book.  I wrote it to answer the question “Why did I become a Natural Perfumer?”.  It is sold on Amazon. I also wrote chapters in other books.

During the winter months many people experience seasonal depression.  This happens when there are not many hours of daylight and often during the day it rains, snows or is generally cloudy and dark.  Some people tend to stay indoors and drink coffee or tea for the caffeine to give them a “boost”.

This time of year can be an emotional roller coaster as we take a look at our life. We spend hours with ourselves after the holidays have worn off, doing a life review of our goals and where we are at.  If that is not a positive thing for you there is a tendency to fall into a depressed state. We do not feel good about ourselves and everything  surrounding us.

When I lived in the Seattle, Washington area for 10 years I learned about depression and the lack of sunlight and how it affects us emotionally.  My citrus essential oils brought me some smiles but it was not long lasting.

I created Reveiller eau de toilette for my boyfriend who suffered from depression from going to work in the dark and driving home in the dark and rain. He actually did not even realize his depressed state but I did.  In the summer he was a different person. Reveiller means “to awaken” and when you spray on this light botanical fragrance you will feel refreshed.

Since that time I have created other fragrances with St. John’s wort and other oils with alchemy to transmute and transform the depression.  Whether the depressed state is seasonal or not. Happy, Liquid Sunshine, Josephine, Radiance are other natural perfumes that will support you if you desire.

My USA free shipping when you spend $35 is still active.  The shipping fees in Canada are $10 flat rate shipping up to a $299 order and then $20 over $300. The shipping fees World Wide are $20 flat rate shipping up to a $299 order and then $25 over $300. Shipping perfume kits are $25 to $45 outside of the US so that is your discount.

I will not be offering any 20% off discounts on Etsy for them to show my site more often in  searches.  As I have shared Etsy paid ads takes a large chunk of profit already.

In this Etsy and retail world of discounting everything… people are just looking for bargains. That is a scarcity mindset and I no longer choose to play the game.

Empowering people is one of my missions in this reincarnation.  How can I tell you to empower yourself using my encoded and perfumes with alchemy, and then you play the discount game? The world is an abundant place.. prosperity abounds. Shift your way of thinking, the way you talk to yourself and treat yourself.  This is mainly a self esteem issue. I have gone through this myself this lifetime. Have you read the book “As A Man Thinketh”?  You create your reality with your thoughts and the actions you take in this world.

No one is coming to save you!  Save yourself! You are the only one who can do it.

Can you believe we are in May and the first nice weather holiday is upon us?

Memorial Day weekend is the beginning of camping season and spending more time at the lake.  Hiking, fishing, gardening… and just getting our feet in the grass and our fingers in the dirt. I am enjoying my vegetables and flower plants I started from seed.  My rose collection is growing … almost 40 roses in 2 years since I moved to North Carolina. They are hanging out in pots on my deck until they can move into their permanent home.  It is so much fun bringing in the roses and having them at my desk to waft all day long.

I have had some great offers on my company, my brand JoAnne Bassett. Until I receive the cash in my bank it remains for sale.

There are some beautiful vintage oils still available on my Etsy store under Perfumer’s Corner. These are precious and will keep for many years… I have owned some of these vintage oils since 1999.
